Adam Bates

adambates 150x91 Our WritersA disciple of the beautiful game, Adam is nevertheless a season-ticket holder at Crewe Alexandra. Adam has been writing for Footie Online since July 2011.

Having written for music and theatre publications in the past, he is enjoying very much writing about the sport he loves.

Adam finds Mark Lawrenson’s jokes horrific, and wouldn’t wish them on anyone.

Dan Blackmore

danblackmore1 Our WritersDan is 23 and currently studying at university in Cardiff.  Dan has been a season ticket holder at Ashton Gate since the age of 9.

Dan has been writing for Footie Online since it’s launch on June 3rd 2011, with Footie Online being the first site Dan has written for.

As one of Footie Online’s regular contributors, Dan provides insightful background and information on the teams and players he writes about.

Mark Gazzard

Mark is one of our main regular contributors and has been writing for Footie Online from the outset. Footie Online  is the first website Mark has written for.

 Neil Palmer

Neil is a Cardiff City fan through birth rather than location as he lives in Bristol. Neil is married with two grown up children and has written two Football books “Bristol Derby Days” and “Welsh DerbyDays” he is currently ghost writing ex Bristol Rover’s legend Paul Randalls autobiography which is out at the end of next year.

Dave Sawyer

Dave Sawyer was a season ticket holder at Bristol City since his return to the UK in 2006 up until the end of the 2010 – 2011 season. Time, family and work commitments means he has to pick and choose his games this season.

Dave has a great love of football and has been fortunate enough to attend many games as a neutral. Such as the recent Carling Cup Final between Arsenal and Birmingham in February 2011 and the 2011 NPower Championship Play Off Final in May, between Swansea City and Reading.

Dave has written for numerous websites over the course of the past decade, including several sports orientated sites.

Dan Thompson

Dedicated “armchair” football fan with a unhealthy obsession with all things football specifically Newcastle United.   Footie-Online is the first website Dan has written for.
