Redknapp keen on Lille Star

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in former Arsenal transfer target, Lille’s Eden Hazard according to Sky Sports. With the White Hart Lane boss stating he fears facing competition from both Manchester United and Manchester City for Hazard’s signature in the summer.

Hazard is regarded as one of European football’s hottest young prospects and current side Lille are resigned to losing the 21 year old Belgian international in the summer.

Sky Sports quotes Redknapp as saying of Hazard:

“Our chairman is willing to pay for an exceptional talent, like Eden Hazard. I have seen him several times recently in Marseille and then also against PSG in the final of the Coupe de France. But I also know that Manchester United are looking at him and also Manchester City.It will be difficult to get him, but I like him a lot.”

News that Hazard has become a top priority for Tottenham will sure to be bad news for fans of Arsenal, who were hopeful for many months that the 21 year old would be making the move to The Emirates.
