Villas-Boas backs Torres

stamfordbridgeweststand 150x84 Villas Boas backs TorresChelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has refuted claims made by former Chelsea supremo and current Paris Saint Germain manager, Carlo Ancelotti, who earlier this week said that striker Fernando Torres was ‘devoured’ by team mate Didier Drogba.

Ancelotti claimed that the presence of Drogba in the Chelsea squad intimidated Torres and in turn has led to the lack of goals from the Spanish international, since his record £50 million move to Stamford Bridge in January 2011.

Villas-Boas was quick to refute such claims and stated:

“It would be unfair for a player of Fernando’s personality and dimension to conclude that one is inflicting on the other one’s belief. If that was the case with any player, it would be a mental weakness or a mental block, which is not the case in my opinion.”

As we stated yesterday in an editorial piece concerning Torres, if Villas-Boas gets his Chelsea team to play to Torres’s strengths, the goals will start flowing.

    Hey. Give Torres some breathing space. Drogba spent 2years @chelsea before picking himself up, Crespo, kezman n shevchenko didnt make it. Chelsea are generally unlucky with strikers.

    A.V.B plz hear wat ancelotti iz tellin u,,,simpli bcoz when dere iz zola he score goals and hassenbaink also he score goals…dat time dere iz no drogba,,,,but naw see,,crespo , shevchenko , pizzaro , di santo ,,,,,wen they leave chelsea they start scorin goals 4 dere new club….wen dere iz drogba in a macht,, anelka or sturidge they will not score,,if anelka score it was 1 goal,,if sturidge score it was 1 goal ,,which iz bad see torres in madrid or liverpool see the way he played,,,plz off load drogba

    Avb shld sell drogba 2 gv torres more space 2 express himself, n 4 d new striker dat wil replace anelka cos without sellin drogba nottin 4 torres wit d new striker comin in. Let learn 4rm crespo, shevi, pizarro n di santos wen dr were in chelsea they did nt perform verywel b4 sellin dem. Thanks.

    A.v.B.pls donk kil tores talent by saying no to offer cuming 4 drogba we all kwn dat he is blues legend but he is old nw nd let him fes anoda chalenge in china,so dat we can make use of star strika kwn as tores.drogb presence at brige as ancelot said is intimidating tores is true. so let him go he hv sold al his product to us 4 nw he has now he has noting to offer

    pls Avb shul sell drogba bcoz dro is a winch he is the one that coz broblem 4 chelsea let me asuar u avb u are not going success in c.f.c Aceloti have gort experence past u he know drogba well, did u remenber scori he said he tier to sell drogba. If u dont want to be sack like other coach acept my advice. I love chelsea die.
