whitehartlane 150x150 Tottenham to raid Blackburn for SambaWith Gary Cahill currently in negotiations with Chelsea over a £7 million move from Bolton, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has turned his attention to Blackburn centre back Chris Samba and is lining up an £8 million move for the 27 year old.

Samba who in the summer was linked to Arsenal and also Liverpool is now likely to be allowed to be moved on as Blackburn’s owners Venky’s try to balance the books at Ewood Park.

According to today’s Daily Mirror, a percentage of funds raised from the sale of Samba would be afforded to Blackburn manager Steve Kean to use this month, as Blackburn struggle against relegation from the Premier League.

Tottenham who are enjoying an excellent season, having consolidated 3rd spot with half the games played, see Samba as an ideal signing as they prepare to kick on for the second half of the league campaign.
