Romelu happy at Chelsea

stamfordbridge2 150x75 Romelu happy at ChelseaChelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has dismissed any suggestion that he is growing disillusioned with life at Stamford Bridge.

The much coveted forward has struggled for game time thus far this season after making the big-money move from Anderlecht. He spoke of the need of the team being greater than his own and that he is happy to bide his time and wait for the right opportunity to feature to present itself.

That said, Lukaku, who was the subject of a flawed loan bid by Stoke City at the end of the Summer transfer window confirmed that should he not be on the periphery of the first-team in the next 6 months, he may seek a year out on loan in order to improve his game and develop. He also suggested that this could either be in the Premier League or further afield.

It must be said that Lukaku seems to have lost some of the confidence and swagger that he had about himself prior to his move to Chelsea. In giving his interview he stated ‘We were very lucky against Sunderland… Imagine what it would mean if I came off the bench and lost possession, resulting in a goal. That could be the end of my Chelsea career’.
