Redknapp in court to face tax evasion charges

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp’s week got off to a bad start with the 3 – 2 loss against leaders Manchester City yesterday, yet on a personal level it has the potential to get a lot worse for the Redknapp, as he attends court for the start of his tax evasion trial.

Redknapp along with Milan Mandaric is due in court as a result of charges brought against them by HMRC,  both of which relates to their time as manager and chairman respectively at Portsmouth Football Club.

The case revolves around payments totaling £183,000 made by Mandaric to Redknapp.

The trial is expected to last two weeks in total.
