QPR capture Onuoha

qpr 150x112 QPR capture OnuohaQueens Park Rangers have signed out-of-favour Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.

Onuoha, 25, has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year contract and will link up once more with former mentor Mark Hughes.

QPR have been chasing Onuoha for quite some time and had hoped to acquire his services back in the Summer. However, for various reasons QPR and Manchester City could not reach an agreement and the defender remained at the Etihad arena.

We believe that the two clubs struck a deal which will see Man City receive around £2.5million.
Onuoha’s departure from Manchester has come as no surprise. The player spent last season on loan at Sunderland and performed very well during his time in the North-East, and he even scored a goal against Chelsea.

You may recall that Onuoha was in the limelight back in September when an ill-mannered and distasteful email was sent from Gerry Cook to his mother, acting as his agent, mocking her battle against cancer. This ultimately led to the departure of Gerry Cook from Manchester City.

We understand that Onuoha’s arrival does not spell the end of QPR’s pursuit of Chelsea defender Alex with QPR still hoping that an agreement can be reached before the window closes.
