Porto president talks up ‘incredible’ release clause of Hulk

hulk 150x132 Porto president talks up incredible release clause of HulkPorto’s president, Pina da Costa has been justifying the staggering minimum release clause on their Brazilian striker Hulk, who is wanted by former Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas to join him at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea.

According to a report on Tribal Football, da Costa is quoted as saying:

“You know he has a buyout clause of €100 million, but I am convinced that in Europe there are clubs that can afford this. That does not assure his permanence.”

In addition a representative of Hulk also concurred with the Porto president by stating:

“We cannot give certainties about anything. Let’s wait. Hulk is one of the biggest players in the world, it would be unrealistic to say he could not leave. The Chinese have clubs paying €10 million per year, Russian clubs reach €20 million in wages per season. Therefore, I cannot say that a clause of €100 million is over the top.”

Needless to say if Chelsea are quibbling over matching Lille’s asking price for Eden Hazard, there is no way they will fork out €100 million to Porto for Hulk.

    well ‘if’ we cannot afford hulk then we should settle with harzad he’s a brilliant player. more reasonable signing will help chelsea in our pursuit.

    Unproven at top level, Torres is getting better, Sturridge is quality, and lukaku is young, if Chelsea feel the need for a bank busting transfer,try and find another mata, best signing Chelsea have made since Zola.

    Greedy Pinto Da Costic. It annoying in this football era for management to place heavy amount of money on players head just in the name of clause, nevertheless, i blamed the representative of HULK for allowing such staggering amount of money on him then he is invariably telling the world that he has made the player a SLAVE to the club. What a pity! you poor Hulk. it is aitime you rescend that ugly clause or else your player will continue in Porto and grow bears and old with you.
