Pompey sale close to completion

The administrator acting for the parent company of Portsmouth, Convers Sports Initiatives are hopeful of finding new owners for the NPower Championship club later this week.

Andrew Andronikou has announced that a preferred bidder for Pompey has been identified with contracts in place and that the next few days are crucial in tying up the sale.

Convers Sports Initiative went into administration back in November, putting the long term future of Portsmouth into uncertainty. A buyer is needed to be found for the club in the immediate future, so Portsmouth are able to continue to meet their ongoing running costs.
