Man City reject Inter’s offer for Tevez

tevez 150x150 Man City reject Inters offer for TevezReports are circulating that Manchester City have rejected Inter Milan’s €25million offer for wantaway striker Carlos Tevez.

Tevez is available for transfer having reportedly refused to come off the substitutes bench during Man City’s unsuccessful UEFA Champions League campaign. This led to manager Roberto Mancini stating that Tevez would never feature for his side again and thus far Mancini has kept up that promise and shows no signs of wavering.

Keen to move the striker on, Man City have been locked in negotiations for weeks now and it seems that the only potential suitors are Inter Milan, AC Milan (whose interest we understand is waning) and Qatari-backed Paris St Germain.

It, therefore, seems a risky strategy to turn down Inter Milan’s offer. However, reports from France are suggesting that Inter have in fact been gazumped by the Parisian club who earlier today offered €30million plus an additional €5million in potential add-on’s.

Inter appeared somewhat confident of landing Tevez after they confirmed to reporters that a formal offer for Tevez had been submitted. However, it is understood that Manchester City considered their offer for only a few moments before responding with the terms at which they would be willing to sell Tevez.
