Liverpool not interested in Bent

Liverpool are not interested in signing Aston Villa striker Darren Bent, according to a report on sports site ESPN.

Back on New Year’s Day, Footie Online reported that Bent had been identified by Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish as their number one January transfer target.

ESPN is reporting that Villa manager Alex McLeish has claimed that Kenny Dalglish has told him personally that Bent is not in his plans and that the Anfield club will not be making an approach for the striker, who joined Villa in the summer.
