Liverpool chasing Valencia’s winger

anfield 150x150 Liverpool chasing Valencias wingerReports are emanating from usually reliable Spanish press stating that Liverpool are set to make a move to bring Valencia’s Pablo Hernandez to anfield.

Liverpool are understood to have made moves to sign Hernandez during last season’s January transfer window but were unable to clinch a deal at that time. If they are to do so this time around then the executives at Liverpool will need to act fast with the closure of the transfer window creeping up.

Hernandez is a tricky winger who has been capped four times by the Spanish national side. He is, however, relatively inexperienced when it comes to first team appearances for someone of his age (26) as he found himself below Juan Mata in the pecking order for several seasons.

Since Mata’s departure, however, Hernandez has flourished with his new found opportunities and has played a big part in Valencia’s successes thus far this season which includes progression to the knock out stages of the Europa League.

Hernandez has spent his whole career with Valencia and is understood to feel a real affinity for the club. That said, he was thought to be keen on a move to Anfield last year and that desire is not understood to have changed.
