Could Ronaldo make a shock return to Manchester?

Reports are mounting that Real Madrid ace and former Manchester United star Ronaldo, could leave Real Madrid in the summer, with Manchester City once again being linked with a move for the Portuguese international.

According to Sport, the two most likely destinations for Ronaldo are Manchester City or AC Milan, but on paper it seems that City are the only one of the two, that would be able to afford the fee necessary to take Ronaldo away from the Bernabeu.

It remains to be seen if Ronaldo himself would contemplate such a move to United’s neighbours and fierce rivals and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that United themselves could also enter the picture.
