Chelsea target admits Porto exit is possible
Brazilian international and Porto striker ‘Hulk’ has for the first time admitted that his departure from Porto is possible and has dropped the strongest hint yet, that his playing days in Portugal could soon be over.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with Hulk ever since Andre Villas-Boas joined the club as manager in the summer and the rumours linking Chelsea with a move for the Brazilian have continued to intensify.
The major stumbling block appears to be the astronomical transfer release clause in the player’s contract, which is believed to be in excess of £80 million.
Speaking to Record, Hulk said:
“We never know what is going to happen tomorrow. I have four and a half years left on my Porto contract but, as I have always said, if some day something good for me and for the club appears, I think there will not be any problem and a deal will be reached. As long as it is amicable and good for everyone, I believe it will be concluded without any problem. If I do not leave, then that is fine.”
