Arsenal and Newcastle keen on Cissokho

alycissokho 150x150 Arsenal and Newcastle keen on CissokhoLyon left back Aly Cissokho could move to England in the next fortnight after French newspaper L’Equipe stated that a number of English clubs are keen on landing the 24 year old French international.

It is believed that both Arsenal and Newcastle United are two of the teams which have been monitoring Cissokho, with both clubs having been extensively linked with the Lyon man since the summer.

The news that Cissokho could leave Lyon has also been fuelled by their owner Jean-Michel Aulas when speaking to L’Equipe stating:

“The transfer of Cissokho? I’m in favour of it.”

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has been after a replacement for Jose Enrique since his move to Liverpool in the summer, whilst Arsenal’s defensive woes are widely reported. However, it is believed that Arsenal are keen on bringing in a full back on loan rather than permanently in January.
