Arsenal and Man Utd keeping tabs on Napoli star

Arsenal and Manchester United who are set to face each other on Sunday in the Premier League are also scouting exciting Napoli prospect Lorenzo Insigne, with both clubs keen on signing the 20 year old in the summer.

Insigne who is capped at under 21 level by Italy, is currently on a season long loan to Serie B side Pescara but is highly rated by Napoli, having come up through their youth academy.

According to Insigne’s agent, his performances for Pescara this season has attracted a whole host of scouts from across Europe, including representatives from Arsenal and United. Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, Antonio Ottaiano said:

“There are so many contacts and I speak not only of Italian clubs. There are also British clubs, very important ones. I do not think it’s a case of naming names so it’s useless to talk of Manchester United and Arsenal. But, of course, his appearances with Italy’s Under-21 side are increasing his visibility.”
