Wolves loan Vokes to Burnley

Wolves are in the process of agreeing a loan deal which will see their 22 year Welsh international striker Sam Vokes move to NPower Championship side Burnley, in time for Vokes to be considered for Burnley’s home game against Leeds United tomorrow.

Vokes who scored two of the goals in midweek during Wales’s 4 – 1 demolition of Norway has been loaned out by Wolves four times previously. Vokes has so far been unable to force his way into the Wolves starting eleven, with the majority of his 59 appearances for the Premier League side coming from the bench.

So far Vokes’s appearances for Wolves this season has been limited to a little more than an hours worth of action.
