Lukasz Fabianski instructs his agent to find him a new club

fabianski 150x111 Lukasz Fabianski instructs his agent to find him a new clubLukasz Fabianski has tasked his agent with finding him a new club.

Fabianski, 26, has been with Arsenal for four seasons. He was sounded as the long-term solution to Arsenal’s goalkeeping crisis. He came to England following a string of impressive performances with Legia Warsaw (Poland’s biggest club) which also saw him named the best goalkeeper in Poland’s top leagues.

However, upon joining Arsenal, Fabianski has regressed into nothing more than an adequate back-up keeper. This can in part be attributed to being in and out of the team and never really having been given an extended  run in the first team. This meant that he has failed to establish himself, or endear himself to the Arsenal fans.

The goalkeeper has already vented his frustrations at being number 2 at Arsenal. A self-assured and confident individual, he has approached Arsene Wenger for assurances over his future, and was not given the answers that he felt he deserved.

As such, with his options being limited, and his contract expiring at the end of the season, Fabianski has made clear that he has no intentions of renewing his contract at Arsenal. His agent has now been asked to secure a deal with a club effective for next season, or if possible, from the January transfer window.

  1. LMAO … He can’t instruct his agent to find a club until he’s in the last few months of a contract.

Sounds like another Bendtner situation with toys thrown from a pram.

When Fabianski was in a club and that group of chicks came over he said he’s the Arsenal goalkeeper, and all the chicks said he doesn’t look like the Arsenal goalkeeper. One says to the others, “That’s because he’s just a back up for when the REAL goalkeeper is injured”.

This embarrasses Fabianski and so he’s angry now. He better be the Arsenal no.1 soon or he’s going to blow.

  2. Thanks for your comment.

I appreciate why it’s your understanding that a player cannot instruct his agent to find him a new club until he enters the final stages of his contract but that is not correct. For example, where this is done with the permission of the player’s club, in this case Arsenal, of course offence has occurred.

  3. Dan AKA The Truth

Great news! Flappy has been a truly terrible goalie for us and I can’t to see the back of him.Good luck Lukasz, but you were never going to make it at Arsenal!

  4. I’m glad that he made decision to move on from this Club. He will not be given a chance no matter how bad or how worse was Szczesny on goal. His contract will expire this season and i don’t see any valid reason for him to stay here. Just hope he will get first spot somewhere, All the best Lukasz!

I’d beg to differ. Some of his performances have been absolutely woeful – someone with realistic ambitions of being a top international goalkeeper should have swept Almunia aside, but Almunia (himself describable as an “adequate” keeper) was far more consistent than Flappyhandski.

  7. Neither of these lads is up to the job, really.

Sure, both have made some decent stops, but they’re not in the mould of previous men like David Seaman and other keepers like Given, Southall, Van Der Saar, etc., who have (or had) real presence in the goalmouth.

When we had the chance, we should have gone all out to get Shay Given, or Reina, Friedel, Howard, Jaaskelainen… even Begovic from Stoke.

The flaky, unreliable goalkeeper syndrome which has existed at Arsenal since Lehmann will continue for a while longer while we mess about and refuse to pay for experience and safe hands.

Maybe if we had a better defence the keeper wouldn’t be under such scrutiny anyway!

  8. ANOTHER MAN WHOSE CAREER HAS BEEN DESTROYED BY ARSENE WENGER! HOW MANY MORE??? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH MR WENGER!! STOP PLAYING AROUND WITH THESE BOYS WHOSE AREER YOU ARE DESTROYING. LOOK AT LARSSON NOW COMPARED TO DJOUROU WHO STARTED OUT WITH HIM IN THE SAME TEAM AND MAP HOW THEIR RESPECTIVE CAREERS HAVE DEVELOPED. THERE IS A PATTERN WITH OUR MANAGER AND THIS CANNOT BE GOOD FOR ANY YOUNG MAN LIKE FABIANSKI WHO INCIDENTALLY I RATED VERY HIGHLY WHEN HE JOINED. OF COURSE BEING IN AND OUT OF THE TEAM WITH NO CONSISTENCY WOULD MOST CERTAINLY AFFECT ONE’S STANDARD OF PLAY. GET A GRIP ARSENE!
