Lukasz Fabianski instructs his agent to find him a new club
Lukasz Fabianski has tasked his agent with finding him a new club.
Fabianski, 26, has been with Arsenal for four seasons. He was sounded as the long-term solution to Arsenal’s goalkeeping crisis. He came to England following a string of impressive performances with Legia Warsaw (Poland’s biggest club) which also saw him named the best goalkeeper in Poland’s top leagues.
However, upon joining Arsenal, Fabianski has regressed into nothing more than an adequate back-up keeper. This can in part be attributed to being in and out of the team and never really having been given an extended run in the first team. This meant that he has failed to establish himself, or endear himself to the Arsenal fans.
The goalkeeper has already vented his frustrations at being number 2 at Arsenal. A self-assured and confident individual, he has approached Arsene Wenger for assurances over his future, and was not given the answers that he felt he deserved.
As such, with his options being limited, and his contract expiring at the end of the season, Fabianski has made clear that he has no intentions of renewing his contract at Arsenal. His agent has now been asked to secure a deal with a club effective for next season, or if possible, from the January transfer window.
